the new expansion dawntrail coming out soon and i'm looking forward to it more than anything else. i've already pre-ordered it too! there's only 3 more months until then. there will be an early access period in late June but it's my first new expansion so i'm curious how that will be done. i'm gunna try to add another SSD to my PC soon as i finally worked up the courage and opened it up yesterday to clean it (it was super dusty!) i think all i need is to buy an additional SATA cable as there's only one in there for the SSD i'm already using. i'd like to dedicate the new one to a fresh reinstall of FFXIV since the new specs recommend having at least 140GB free.
also! in preperation for the new expansion, i'd been spending a while trying to figure out what glamour i want to wear for the new MSQ, given how i'd been dressing ppLala (my nickname for my WoL) pretty casually, looking very not-fantasy or immersive. a part of me always felt a little bad doing optional quests without having glamour to match the world so i tried my best to come up with immersive glam!

i like thinking that ppLala is something of a wild woman, so she's got this kinda untamed look with very natural colors, primarily green. you could say it's a personal headcanon for the game's story, a bit of light roleplay. since warrior of light is your own character, and they're a bit of a blank slate you can come up with whatever you want for them.
i'm not really into the RP scene of this game though, mostly because a lot of it seems NSFW and i really am not interested in that aspect of the RP community. besides, i play as lalafell which it seems like most people playing this game do not take seriously or flat out hate. i don't really get that. i mean i do, but i still hate it.
the general reception of lalafell players has made me regret playing lalafell sometimes but it's been about 2 years since i started playing and i really can't imagine putting the name Plant Puppy on any other race. not even the upcoming female hrothgars cause i got a different idea for them actually. i gotta stay strong and be positive lalafell rep!
i really want to make a 2nd character that's a furry character, and the female hrothgar are perfect for that i feel. i know males are already in the game but i wanna make a woman! i have no hate towards men what so ever as i like guys too. i definitely feel a slightly stronger preference for women though.
oh yeah, after fussing so much over what jobs i like playing i realized i gravitate towards dragoon and white mage the most. blue mage is still fun but it's a little hard to find people to play with because that class is limited on what you're allowed to do (because it's busted as blue mage has always been in final fantasy games). being able to solo a lot of content as warrior is fun, and i like having mobility and range on bard without needing a cast bar for most of my skills.
i really wanted like Red Mage but to be honest it's a little awkward to me in this game. i dunno if i would be able to describe how i feel about it very well. magic DPS in this game just in general is awkward to me. makes me hope pictomancer (the newest magic DPS) will be fun.
i'm a little curious why pictomancer isn't a limited class too because in ff6 it's treated as sort of like a branch off of blue mage. i hope it's not similar to summoner in how the skills loop in a very streamlined boring fashion.
