These two witches are dubbed the Drizzled White Witch and the Hibernating Black Witch by observers in the town. Unsure if by coincidence or not, the two witches appear as if opposites to each other because of their respective white and black clothing and their dispositions.
The 'white' witch named Amanita lives to the north of the forest and the 'black' witch named Beatrix to the south.
Amanita is the more social of the pair and is known to come out of the comfort of her home with her hard-working twin familiars in tow. If she is in town, it means she's got new products to sell. Described by those living in the town by the forest, she gives off a calming and accommodating aura--perhaps even motherly given the way she dotes over her familiars, occasionally prys at her returning customers about their lives, and is almost never seen without a warm smile on her face.
While seeming mostly normal, Amanita has also shown a bizarre interest in standing in the rain for long periods of time.
Beatrix on the other hand is the more mysterious of the pair, very seldom being seen in public. She does not talk very much of herself but the seemingly permanent fox-like sneer and exhibiting strange behavior is enough to keep many cautious. If her own behavior was not enough to make people suspicious, her bear familiar definitely takes the cake. The towering bear looms behind her like a large shadow--mainly due to standing upright--and casts his intimidating glare silently upon anyone who comes near the two. While suspicious-looking, the black witch nor her familiar have never actually done anything harmful and seems well-adjusted.
Beatrix seems to take a liking to human pop culture but if asked will politely decline the assumption, claiming it to be coincidence.
